Bay Area author and illustrator Paige Peterson was feted in style on October 30, at a book launch for her latest project, held at a private residence in her hometown of Belvedere. In a beautiful setting on Belvedere Lagoon, fans of Paige’s work interpreting and illustrating children’s classics gathered to celebrate her latest project, The Secret Garden. The day’s festivities included a magician, and the chance for guests to explore all of Peterson’s illustrated children’s volumes.
The newly abridged and illustrated Secret Garden is a labor of love from Peterson and her creative collaborator Jesse Kornbluth, who led the book’s abridgement. This is the third project for Peterson and Kornbluth, who have previously released editions of A Christmas Carol and Black Beauty. These beautifully updated classics are available for purchase at Book Passage stores in Corte Madera and San Francisco.
