The Lycée Français de San Francisco Hosts Fantastique Surrealist Ball

Cityview at the Metreon was the site of a dazzling soirée on March 22, the annual Surrealist Ball to benefit the Lycée Français de San Francisco. The colorful guests came decked out in their most surreal formalwear, including a giant butterfly face mask spotted hovering nearby an elaborate flower crown. Lycée Français, a K-12 school offering French and international education, will use the funds in part to support a program offering students locally sourced foods.

The foods guests enjoyed at the ball were no less meticulously curated. Diners enjoyed a meal conceived by celebrity chef Daniel de La Falaise, which featured iced crudités en ruban, tataki of beef and a spiced flourless chocolate cake inspired by the works of Salvador Dali. VIPs, including the Consul General of France, joined the Lycée community to support the school’s mission to provide truly international education in San Francisco.
