Noma, Copenhagen’s celebrated three-star Michelin restaurant and formerly five-time #1 on “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” list, is headed to Los Angeles sometime in 2026, possibly for several months. Co-owner and Chef René Redzepi first opened the acclaimed Noma in 2003.
Noma’s forthcoming opening in Los Angeles marks the continuation of a long-standing tradition dating back to a 2012 stint in London. Over the last decade, Noma has either temporarily relocated the restaurant or staged a pop up in places including Brooklyn, Sydney, Tulum, and Kyoto. The Los Angeles Times indicates that “Los Angeles has long been on Redzepi’s radar.”
A message on YouTube reads, “Join the list for access to reservations. In the coming months you will receive updates about LA season reservations & news from Noma.”
Noma’s Instagram account confirms the plans in a post from July 1, 2025.

Eater reports, “The restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of Nordic cuisine, utilizing international influences and locally foraged and sourced ingredients. The restaurant is widely regarded as one of the best in the world, and securing a reservation is notoriously difficult, even with the high cost of the tasting menu, which starts at over $400 before any beverage pairings (a wine pairing brings the total close to $800).”
