The American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region has announced that its 30th Anniversary Gala–held on March 22 at One Sansome–raised more than $1.3 million to support the organization’s work to bring aid in times of crisis and natural disaster. More than 350 guests gathered for the occasion, to recognize this year’s humanitarian honorees and support the Red Cross mission.
After a lively cocktail hour, the evening’s program opened with a retrospective video honoring the organization’s 140-year history and celebrating 30 years of the Red Cross Gala in San Francisco. Guests were then treated to a lavish, multi-course meal featuring wood-fired filet mignon and a dark chocolate “Mille Crêpe” with glazed raspberries. The night’s program also featured live music from SFJazz, and chances to win jewelry from Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry and a bespoke salon experience at Blake Charles Salon. The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters, and supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood.
