Ayesha Curry Brings Extra Sparkle to SF Ballet’s Season Opening Gala

Dressed head-to-toe in shimmering black sequins and tulle, Bay Area entrepreneur and honorary event chair Ayesha Curry lent her star power to the San Francisco Ballet’s 2025 Gala on January 22. This year’s gala was a curated convergence of dance, fashion, music and visual art, all coming together in San Francisco’s Civic Center area. Partygoers in elegant formal dress enjoyed an evening of dance, music and fine dining, plus a sneak peek of what lies ahead this ballet season.

Guests first tucked into a sumptuous three-course dinner provided by McCall’s Catering, served at San Francisco City Hall. The luxe decor by J. Riccardo Benavides Event Styling set the tone for the evening’s next stop: an exclusive SF Ballet performance across the street at the elegant Opera House. Led by the ballet’s visionary Artistic Director Tamara Rojo, the performance showcased the talents of the highly acclaimed choreographers featured in SF Ballet’s 2025 season, with glimpses of featured works Manon and Raymonda. The party didn’t end when the curtain came down, as the celebration carried on into the night with a high-energy City Hall after party featuring DJ Umami and Tainted Love. All in all, an auspicious start to what promises to be a high-energy season of ballet.
