On the evening of March 4, 2025, Grace Cathedral welcomed over 350 guests and supporters to its 15th Annual benefit gala: Carnivale, A Mardi Gras Masquerade, a grand affair co-chaired by Dr. Robert J. Brown and Erin McCune. This spectacular black-tie masquerade celebrated the spirit and vibrancy of New Orleans’ famed carnival season.
The night started with a blast, as the Twilight Brass Band greeted guests at the top of the cathedral’s famed steps. The event’s festivities included a lively cocktail mixer with signature cocktails, a seated dinner and a live auction. As the Gala program concluded, the Very Rev. Dr. Malcolm Clemens Young, Dean of Grace Cathedral, took a moment to reflect on the evening’s impact: “Thank you for lifting our community through your support. Your generosity allows us to welcome more friends to the cathedral and serve more communities through our ministries and cultural programs.”
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the entire event successfully exceeded the $1 Million goal with all proceeds directly supporting Grace Cathedral’s innovative ministries and inclusive programming.
