This year, Saint Joseph’s Art Society opened its doors for the second annual FUNraiser to benefit Pierce’s Pledge. On September 19, guests and benefactors were treated to a fabulous night of immersive experiences, laughter and dance. The fete featured multiple rooms full of “surprise” interactive experiences, plus live entertainment and an epic auction.
Cocktails and dinner were courtesy of A16, who curated an one-of-a-kind menu in support of the organization’s life-saving mission. Pierce’s Pledge is a nonprofit that works to keep children safe during custody disputes, and beyond, by helping store guns outside the home. This year’s theme of “Sneaker Chic” was a tribute to the organization’s namesake, Pierce, and his unique personal style.
The 2024 FUNraiser committee topped the smashing success of last year’s sold-out event. Funds raised at that benefit have helped advance the goals of Pierce’s Pledge, including launching the first-ever National Gun Storage Resource Map, opening dialogues with the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and taking its message of safety and hope to conferences, panels and schools. Said the conference organizers, “Saving just one child would make all our efforts worthwhile, but together, we believe we can protect many more.”
