di Rosa Contemporary Art Center Celebrates San Francisco Expansion

San Francisco’s Minnesota Street Project was the venue for a celebration of contemporary art as the di Rosa Center hosted its second-annual Expression Ball, raising more than $250,000 to support di Rosa’s operating costs and expansion into San Francisco. The Mod-themed evening on June 28 welcomed notable supporters including Deborah and Andy Rappaport and Diane Nelson and John Atwater, who gathered to celebrate di Rosa’s creativity and vision for its next chapter in the city.

The gala’s most significant moment came with the launch of FUND THE FUTURE, a transformational fundraising campaign designed to modernize di Rosa’s 25-year-old Napa campus, while supporting the museum’s new San Francisco presence. Guests savored Cuvee Wine Country Events’ carefully curated dinner menu, paired with exceptional wines from Napa Valley luminaries including Domaine Carneros and Truchard Vineyards. The evening’s entertainment featured a fabulous go-go dancer performing on an LED platform, perfectly capturing the 1960s California spirit that inspired the museum’s permanent collection of more than 1,600 works. The night’s live auction showcased the Bay Area art community’s generosity through donated pieces and exclusive experiences, supporting di Rosa’s mission to inspire creativity and curiosity through the integration of contemporary art into everyday life.
