The de Young Museum once again opened its doors for the Fine Arts Museums Annual Gala and Late Night After-Party. On April 10 some of the Bay Area’s most enthusiastic art lovers converged on the museum for a long night of revelry that saw nearly 1,500 patrons cross the threshold over the course of the event. Each year the benefit raises funds for the exhibition program at the de Young and Legion of Honor, care of the permanent collection and educational and community programming.
Gala guests first sat down to a sumptuous dinner provided by McCall’s Catering, and accompanied by caviar by local favorite The Caviar Co. and wines from Hertelendy Vineyards and Bryant Imports. After the dinner concluded, the gala welcomed nearly 1,500 supporters for the buzzy afterparty, Late Night. In addition to enjoying full access to the museum, Late Night partygoers danced in the museum’s Wilsey Court to headliner Ravyn Lenae, sampled elevated bar bites in The Caviar Co. lounge and sat for Polaroid portraits by Anna-Alexia Basile to capture the memory of their magical night.
