The Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) just hit a major milestone, celebrating its 20th anniversary on November 22 with a glam gala at Saint Joseph’s Arts Society. The venue was transformed for the night to reflect the gala’s theme, XERO Club, inspired by speakeasies and Monte Carlo-style casinos. Guests also dressed for the theme, many turning up decked out in their flapper dresses and faux furs, ready to hit the gambling tables.
The lucky partiers got to enjoy an auction, dancing, themed cocktails and a delicious spread from Jessica Lasky Catering. The night ended on a high note, with a set from special guest DJ GARZA of Thievery Corporation. MCD is San Francisco’s only museum devoted to craft and design, showcasing distinctive craft and design-focused exhibitions. Proceeds from the annual gala support the museum’s many innovative programs.
