Safe & Sound Hosts Blue Ribbon Celebration at Four Seasons San Francisco

On December 7 partygoers and do-gooders turned out for the 27th-annual Blue Ribbon Celebration, to benefit Safe & Sound’s mission to support for children and families. The organization’s board and staff welcomed its supporters to a festive evening at San Francisco’s Four Seasons Hotel, where the champagne flowed and guests toasted another successful year. 

As they enjoyed a three-course meal catered by the Four Seasons, attendees also heard about Safe & Sound’s critical work to reduce and prevent child abuse and neglect. A soundtrack to the evening was provided by the San Francisco Opera’s youth group the Opera Scouts. Safe & Sound’s programming has achieved remarkable results—reaching over 200,000 individuals in the last 20 years, and creating systems-change, contributing to a 64% reduction in the rate of child abuse and a 51% reduction in entries into foster care in San Francisco. Over $936,000 was raised at this year’s event, and the funds will ensure Safe & Sound can continue to help Bay Area families thrive.
