San Francisco Opera Guild Hosts a Fashion-Forward Annual Luncheon

On a recent midwinter afternoon in the gorgeous Golden Gate Room at the Westin St. Francis, some of San Francisco’s most discerning opera lovers gathered to celebrate their favorite performing art. San Francisco Opera Guild’s annual luncheon was held on January 28, with a crowd of the Guild’s friends and supporters gathering to toast another exciting year. Ensconced in elegant decor styled by J. Riccardo Benavides, guests enjoyed an afternoon of fun and fashion, complete with a live runway show courtesy of Neiman Marcus San Francisco.

It wouldn’t be an Opera Guild event without a little music, and the afternoon was capped by a live performance of selections from Rossini’s La Cenerentola by Opera Together teaching artists, tenor Andrew Truett and mezzo-soprano Phoebe Dinga, accompanied on the piano by Paul Dab. Founded in 1939, San Francisco Opera Guild is an opera education organization committed to giving voice to potential through music education. The Guild’s education programs reach thousands of arts lovers of all ages in K–12 classrooms and after-school programs.
