SF Ballet Hosts Night to Remember for VIP Benefactors

Each year, the San Francisco Ballet treats its biggest supporters to a little luxe “pre-gaming” in advance of its annual Opening Night Gala. This year, the elegant benefactor party was held in Telegraph Hill, at the private home of Mark and Brigitta Whiting. Longtime ballet boosters, the Whitings welcomed their guests on January 8 for a night of celebration, set against a backdrop of stunning Bay views.

The partygoers, including notable guests Pam Preston, Lillian Phan, Andrew Hinek and designer Riccardo Benavides, nibbled refined hors d’oeuvres by Cultivar and sipped select vintages from Mathew Bruno Winery. The intimate soiree helped set the tone for the upcoming January 22 Gala, one of the city’s most highly anticipated cultural events. The 2024 Benefactor Party served as a prelude to this celebration, honoring the contributions of the ballet’s benefactors, and ushering in another exciting year of innovative dance in San Francisco.
