On January 13 the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation welcomed its members, community supporters and city VIPs to the unveiling of its 2025 “Hearts in San Francisco” sculptures. This year’s curated selection of artfully decorated hearts range in size from large (5 feet by 6 feet) to mini (7 inches by 6 inches), and will be auctioned off to benefit the Foundation’s work to fund patient care at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
Guests gathered for the event at the Port Room in the Ferry Building, and perused the display of hearts decorated and donated by local artists. Attendees enjoyed sumptuous nibbles and drinks provided by Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant, while chatting in-person with the artists about their work. This year, the Foundation showcased the work of several young artists, including Jessica Rosenfeld’s art class at César Chávez Elementary School, and sister artists Quinn and Rowan Heyrana de Leyos.
The sculptures will be displayed in the Ferry Building through February 3, when they’ll be moved to The Conservatory at One Sansome for the Hearts in SF Fundraising Gala on February 6.
