On October 26, The California Academy of Sciences invited all its closest friends for a spooky night of fun at the annual Supernatural Halloween benefit party. Families came dressed in their scary holiday best, and got to trick-or-treat that night at the aquarium-planetarium-natural history museum.
Over 2000 guests donned their costumes and had a ghostly good time while trick-or-treating and enjoying a variety of live-animal displays and other attractions throughout the Academy. Alongside the candy stations, the spooky season revelers enjoyed a silent disco at the aquarium, face painting and a Teen Lounge with arcade games, mocktails and no parents allowed.
The benefit party raised over $300,000 in critical funds this year. Supernatural Halloween is an annual fundraiser supporting the Academy’s mission to regenerate the natural world through science, learning, and collaboration.
