The 29th annual Stepping Out Gala benefiting To Celebrate Life (TCL) Breast Cancer Foundation was held September 28 at the Marin Center Exhibit Hall in San Rafael. One of Marin County’s most anticipated social events, the gala offered something for everyone with a lively evening of dining, fine wines and fashion.
This year’s theme was “New York, New York,” so the evening’s highlight took place on a fashion runway. The show featured 29 models, all thriving after breast cancer and showing off the latest fall designs. The money raised will benefit the Foundation’s Breast Cancer Grants Program, which grants funds to nonprofit organizations across the San Francisco Bay Area providing direct and emergency support services to breast cancer patients.
VIPs in the crowd that night included Jeanne Capurro, Janice Still, Joy Phoenix, Yvonne Hearn Robinson, Ray Kaliski, Dr. Roger and Mary Greenberg, among many other longtime TCL supporters and benefactors. They all turned out to celebrate, hear inspirational survivor stories and learn more about the over 10,000 services that TCL helps to provide each year. The evening was capped off with live and silent auctions–just one more way for attendees to show their support for such a worthy cause.
