On June 13 some lucky shoppers got the chance to peruse Sherri McMullen’s latest collection of designers, when the boutique owner teamed up with the V Foundation for Cancer Research and 181 Fremont Residences for a one-day-only shopping experience to benefit the Foundation’s work.
Each year the V Foundation hosts its Wine Celebration to fundraise for its game-changing cancer research grants. This year’s event will be held in Yountville, and the pop-up’s visitors enjoyed a preview of some of the fabulous wines that will be featured, sipping selections from Napa Valley’s Hoopes Vineyards.
As if shopping and wine weren’t enough, guests got to rub shoulders with some notable attendees, including famed fashionista McMullen, KTVU reporter Betty Yu, Matt Lituchy, Carmen Legarda, Amy Dornbusch, Zornitza Stefanova, Jessica Lonergan
Since its founding in 1993 by the late NCAA basketball coach Jim Valvano and ESPN, V Foundation has funded over $353 million in innovative cancer research grants nationwide. This year’s Wine Celebration benefit takes place August 1-4, and 100% of direct donations will go to fund life-saving cancer programs and research.
