Catholic Charities Celebrates Philanthropy and Service at 27th Annual Gala

Each year Catholic Charities San Francisco welcomes its closest community and biggest boosters to a gala that honors both the organization’s work and its patrons’ support. The Loaves and Fishes Award Dinner and Gala was held this year at the Westin St. Francis, making October 17 a night to remember for all who attended.

Over 300 guests turned out in their finest to raise funds for the many Catholic Charities’ programs and services available in the Bay Area. More than 350 guests joined a who’s-who of San Francisco’s charitable faith community, including local leaders like Archbishop of San Francisco Salvatore Cordileone and Catholic Charities CEO Ellen Hammerle, Ph.D, along with Susie and Bill Frimel, Jacqueline Jaccoberger and Michael Thoresen. Proceeds from the evening go to support Catholic Charities’ 35 programs, which serve over 100,000 members of our community each year.
