The LOVE Wine California Brut sparkling embodies a harmonious union of artistry and craftsmanship. This limited-edition release is the result of a beautiful collaboration between J Vineyards & Winery and the grantLOVE project, an initiative founded by renowned artist Alexandra Grant in 2008. The grantLOVE project, a symbol of connection and creativity, seeks to support art, artists, and non-profit organizations through collaborative creations inspired by Grant’s signature LOVE emblem.

This inaugural LOVE Wine release features a striking original artwork by Genevieve Gaignard, a remarkable young artist whose biracial heritage informs her vintage-inspired pieces. Through her work, Gaignard explores themes of identity, inclusion, and cultural dialogue, bringing a rich narrative to this exceptional bottle.
An Artistic Expression in Every Sip
LOVE Wine is more than a sparkling wine—it is a celebration of craftsmanship and artistry. The wine opens with radiant aromas of red fruit and delicate florals, as streams of fine bubbles create a vibrant effervescence. On the palate, luscious hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry—imbued by a refined Pinot Meunier dosage—are balanced by deeper, richer layers of poached pear, crème brûlée, warm cinnamon, and lightly toasted brioche. A touch of citrus zest, led by lime, brings brightness to the crisp, lingering finish, offering a multi-dimensional experience in every glass.
Perfect for elevating any meal or moment, this versatile sparkler pairs seamlessly with both brunch and dinner. Imagine savoring it alongside griddled brioche topped with ricotta, fresh raspberries, honey, and basil. Or pairing it with seared wild salmon, enhanced by creamy polenta, a pickled baby corn and tomato relish, and a sprinkle of fines herbes.

A Collaboration of Shared Values
The partnership behind LOVE Wine reflects a shared vision of fostering diversity, inclusion, and excellence in both wine and the arts. Historically, women and people of color have been underrepresented in these spheres. While strides have been made, there is still much to accomplish. Through the LOVE Wine project, J Vineyards and the grantLOVE project amplify the creative voices of women artists and artists of color, contributing to a culture where representation and meaningful dialogue thrive.

Wine and art, deeply intertwined, are cultural expressions that transcend boundaries. LOVE Wine seeks to unite communities, inviting conversations that celebrate expertise, artistry, and innovation. By bridging creative worlds, this project inspires a new narrative of shared excellence and collective impact.

The Journey of Winemaking
LOVE Wine is meticulously crafted from select cool-climate vineyards in California, including the Russian River Valley, Monterey County, and Mendocino County. Every step of its creation reflects a deep respect for tradition and quality. Grapes are gently hand-harvested and transported in small half-ton bins to preserve their delicate essence. From there, they are placed as whole clusters into J Vineyard’s rare Coquard presses, a French-designed mechanism that extracts juice gently and with precision—a practice esteemed within sparkling winemaking.

The transformation continues with secondary fermentation in the bottle, a hallmark of the Traditional Method. The wine matures gracefully, spending 48 months on the lees to develop complexity and depth. To enhance its flavor and balance, a dosage composed of Pinot Meunier (11g/L) is introduced, infusing the wine with its signature brightness and finesse.
LOVE Wine California Brut sparkling is more than a drink; it is a movement, a connection, and a celebration of craft. From the artistry on the bottle to the exquisite flavors within, this collaboration exemplifies how wine and art together can create an experience that is both meaningful and memorable. Whether you’re enjoying a solitary moment of reflection or sharing a toast with those closest to you, LOVE Wine brings beauty, depth, and joy to every occasion.
