It was standing room only on the dance floor September 14, as Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI) hosted its most important sponsors and supporters at a lavish fundraiser with a throwback theme. “GET BACK”… A BEATLES BASH was held at a private estate in Woodside, and offered lucky guests the kind of lavish perks the Fab Four might have enjoyed in their heyday.
Things started off with a bang when poolside cocktails transformed into a high-steaks scavenger hunt, with attendees carefully sipping champagne until one lucky guest found the 1-carat diamond hidden in their flute, courtesy of Gleim the Jeweler. From there, partiers proceeded to a tented dining area to enjoy a lavish dinner catered by McCalls.
But the highlight of the evening was indisputably the entertainment, which had guests jumping to their feet to twist and shout to Beatles tribute band RAIN, who played all the hits from the early bops through the Sgt. Pepper era.
All the fun was had in the name of a good cause: PVI’s mission to enable seniors to age in place. Proceeds from the night’s event will fund a diverse set of programs, including Rosener House Adult Day Services, nutrition programs like Meals on Wheels and RIDE PVI Transportation Services. Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to add to the night’s haul by bidding on fabulous silent auction packages including a trip to Las Vegas to see The Eagles LIVE at The Sphere and a 5-star luxury trip to Africa. The proceeds from “Get Back” will ensure PVI can continue fulfilling its life-changing mission.
