SF-Marin Food Bank recently welcomed nearly 300 of their biggest supporters to the dynamic dining experience that is One Big Table. On September 28, the Food Bank opened their giant San Francisco warehouse for the event, which saw 15 of the Bay Area’s favorite chefs show up to feed the guests and help fight food insecurity.
Guests noshed on a series of amazing appetizers and chose from a selection of scrumptious three-course dinners, served up by local dinner celebrity chefs including Mat Schuster of Canela Bistro & Wine Bar, Park Ulrich of Waterbar and EPIC Steak and Charles Phan of The Slanted Door.
After dinner, guests put the generous warehouse space to a different use, turning it into a dance floor for the after-dinner festivities. Each year, SF-Marin Food Bank hosts the gala to support its essential programs, and raise awareness of the root causes of hunger in the Bay Area. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, where one in four people is at risk of hunger.
